How do you make decisions?

Making decisions can be really hard.  Many of us are taught from an early age to disregard the signs in our body on what feels right and what feels wrong.  We learn to follow the rules, to be polite, rather than to honour what feels right in our own bodies.  As empaths and highly sensitive souls who have experienced trauma, this pattern of ignoring our needs is often deeply engrained.

Learning to listen to ourselves and our own needs can be a huge challenge.   Often before being able to listen to our needs and desires we have to dump some old limiting beliefs first.

Ideas such as:

It’s selfish to think about our needs.

Having boundaries makes you rude.

It’s okay if I don’t feel good as long as others do.  (I can take it)

These are just a few of the faulty belief systems I see in my clients.
